I am a journey farmer. I have worked on two farms in the last three years developing m skills and knowledge. I am interested in finding land where I can begin a small operation to grow vegetables, berries, fruit and raise livestock (Layers, broilers, pigs, rabbits etc.) My goal is to first improve the conditions of land by using permaculture designs, agroforestry integration, and regenerative practices to improve soil, water and biodiversity. I am aiming to produce a succession of annual and perennial crops that can be converted into value=added products and utilize the space so that it can be attractive holistically with the opportunity for stackable enterprises. I am looking to secure approximately 3 to 40 acres to begin this journey with the help of family, friends and close farmer relationships.

I studied horticulture/ floriculture in trade school from 06-09 where I learned all types of growing skills. I continued gardening on my own after graduating, producing vegetables, herbs and fruits. My hope is to aquire a small piece of fertile land with a structure where I can live and farm and I’m thinking to do a CSA to provide food for my community. I currently am growing more than I need but I lack the property to put up a stand. It’s also difficult to make it a priority when I’m working full time to pay a landlords mortgage.

Hello!
My name is Titus Nolt from Pine Grove, PA. I have been very blessed to be born into the farming way of life, and now am privileged to farm with my wife and two young sons. (ages 1 & 3). After years of organic row cropping and produce farming, I have found my passion lies in stewarding the land through management intensive grazing with cattle. It is amazing to me how planned rotational grazing can not only improve fertile land, but also heal land that has been abused and degraded for many years. It can be a a truly synergistic process, and a blessing to the land, the livestock and the lives of our landowners and ourselves.
We are looking for land within a 50 mi radius of Pine Grove that we could rent for our livestock. We are open to discuss any opportunity. We are willing to fence land that is in crops or hay production currently or repair poor fences. I have a lot of experience in establishing perennial grass in what was cropland for years. We are open to discussing creative arrangements for renting, such as if you want the cattle gone for certain months (hunting season 🙂 etc. Also we can supply a trade of beef for land access if you would prefer food security over cash. Give me a call, and I’d be delighted to discuss options!

My wife and I have experience with cut flower gardens on a micro scale. We have grown various seasonal blooms, such as zinnias, dahlias, roses, tulips, marigolds, salvia, stock flower, delphinium, orlaya, mint, and much more! Through our experiences at local flower patches, and our experience growing cut flowers we have grown a passion of sustainable flower farming and agritourism that connects the local community back to creation and nature.
We are looking to establish a sustainable, community-focused cut flower farm specializing in both a U-pick business model and direct-to-consumer sales. Our primary goal is to curate an engaging on-farm experience where local visitors can select their own seasonal blooms, paired with a retail component offering pre-assembled specialty bouquets, CSAs, and local farm market pop-ups. We aim to utilize sustainable and regenerative farming methods to maximize field productivity, cultivate pollinator habitats, and provide the local community with vibrant, fresh-cut flowers. We also aim to provide additional agritourism opportunities, such as pumpkin patches, for families to enjoy. We are seeking land that offers optimal sun exposure, clean water access, and the right infrastructure to welcome the public and scale a specialty crop operation.

Hello, my name is Ryan Ackley and I am the owner of Ackley Specialty Grain based out of Benton, PA. I grew up working for a local dairy farmer and recently was able to move back to the area to start my own farm. I currently have 17 acres of grain sorghum planted on rented land with plans to plant 40 additional acres next year. My goal is to slowly grow each year until I have around 100 acres of land that I am farming. I currently work as a Sr. Finance Partner at Geisinger and utilize my off-farm income to sustain farming. I was able to use my own capital to purchase a tractor, planter, drill, and combine for my crop operation. My goal is to run specialized crops that may not have as large an exposure in PA as they have in other states, as well as bringing back crops from previous generations. Ideally, I would like to operate as a no-till regenerative farm operation with goals of becoming chemical- and synthetic fertilizer-free. I would like to eventually become organic certified and remove all pesticides from operations.

My partner and I are both looking to find a small parcel of agriculture land (5-20 acres) for sustainable farming. We intend on growing specialty crops, small livestock, and an orchard. Our goal is to grow food sustainably and alongside nature, with the natural ecosystem in mind. Our plan is to sell crops direct-to-consumer through farmer’s markets, online ordering/pickups, farm stand/store, etc. Our ideal location would be within 1 hour of an urban area so that we can deliver goods straight to consumers. We have been developing a farm/business plan, but it is still in the making, and we are open to suggestions. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
Some information about myself and my partner:
I have my B.S. in Horticulture (with a specialty in sustainable food systems) and an M.S. in Biology. I am a certified arborist and do tree work as my full-time job. I am also a member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. My partner is wrapping up her B.S. in biology, specializing in animals and wildlife. She has worked with Zoos, the PGC, and other animal/wildlife organizations. We both have handy traits, and a serious work ethic. Additionally, we both prioritize treating nature with respect, care, and stewardship. We also take pride in our work and would want nothing but the best for our customers. If you have ever seen the movie the biggest little farm, we strive to be like that on a smaller scale!

I come from over 300+ years of farmers on both sides of my family. Prior to my mother’s generation, the majority of my relatives lived on homesteads in the Mississippi Delta. After 10+ years in the field of medicine, I was given the opportunity to work part-time, and dedicate 30-40 hours/week farming on my urban plot of land.
I thrive off manual labor, working outside, and figuring things out through observation and trail/error, and the occasional mentor.
Over the last four years, on 1.25 Suburban Acres, I have practiced permaculture, farming, and advancing manual labor skills through :
-Regeneration of the soil/land (pulled 18+ years of untouched invasive ivy, cut down trees/limbs/etc.),
-Planted an orchard with ~10 fruit and nut trees (swale with perennials and annuals intermixed)
-Installed two small ponds
-Raised 20+ chickens for egg production
-First heritage flock hatched in December. First generation chicks from the Alpha hen female
-Grown plants from seedling in basement set-up. Developed a three tier planting schedule for Spring 2026 to ensure success in case of abnormal cold/rain/drought
-Grown all types of food (corn, wheat, berries, vegetables, legumes)
-Incorporated flowers in all beds/areas grown from seed and harvested in the 1,000s this summer
-Assisted in the milling of a fallen 300-year elm–used limbs and wood to regenerate soil, build furniture, create beds
-Attended self-reliance workshops
-Read/study permaculture and pasture-raised farming techniques
Over the next five years, I am looking to purchase/lease a large plot of land with the following goals:
-Raise pasture raised beef with chicken tractors (egg and meat production–plan on building one of each this Spring)
-Build small scale on-site chicken butchering operation
-Sell chicken meat on-site (I have a business plan for this in order to be within regulations). Possible integration with a renowned farm-to-table restaurant (relationship already established)
-Orchards
-Greenhouse
-Increased food and flower production
-Bee/honey operation
-Possible small scale dairy production (cow and goat)
-Possible integration with schools/learning centers
