- Acreage: 51 to 100
- County: Crawford
The property’s 89 acres span both sides of a state-maintained, paved road.
A bank barn is located directly across from the house and is surrounded by approximately 10 acres of pasture with a cow pond.
The 2 BR, 1 BA 2-story house has newer metal roof/siding/windows and is in very good condition. There is propane heat with a newer hot air furnace, as well as electric radiator panels in the kitchen and living room as an alternative. A wood stove could be added in the basement or living room. Off the entry is a bonus room that could be made into an extra bedroom with a bath.
A neighbor makes hay from the pasture and has monitored and amended the soil as needed. Behind the house is 40 acres of pasture and woodland. Additional acreage includes conservable meadow, fen/wetland and bog. The pasture was planted with hedgerow trees and warm season grasses while enrolled in a USDA conservation program from 2011-2022. Approximately 15 acres of woodland is located at the far back of the parcel, which has been logged sustainable using a consulting forester, most recently in 2020.
The valley is a mix of legacy family farms and farmettes with cattle, goats, horses, corn and soybean crops. Some Plain Sect families own properties in the immediate area, but most do not farm.
It would be great to make this a working farm again.
Sale–prefer conventional bank loan or cash. The right buyer will have a plan and money lined up.
- Acreage: 11 to 30
- County: Luzerne
My property has been farmed over the past 5+ years in both corn and soybeans and I am interested in having a farmer come in with long-term goals in mind with a focus on sustainability. Will consider discussions with farmers looking to crop, raise livestock, and/or produce vegetables.
The farmed area represents 13 acres. The land is in the Sweet Valley area and easily accessible off a main road. The land slopes downhill to a wood line before a steep decline to a creek. Soil types are WIC and OID.
I am looking for a rent or lease agreement. There is a large bank barn and well for water access that I would consider to be included in any agreement.

Apple orchard.

We are looking to fill an organic vegetable position. We previously had an individual who farmed our land and developed a CSA with about 35 customers. His CSA customers may still be available. There are about 2 acres that he worked but more are available and there is water on this acreage. A shed is available for storage of equipment, but no housing is available. We are located in Avella PA about 35 miles south of Pittsburgh. We also have an area that we used to house about 250 organic layer chickens that is available.
Land usage is free in exchange for vegetables/CSA share options. Owners are open to and have land available for other ideas in addition to vegetable production.
- Acreage: 51 to 100
- County: Erie
We borrow land from future generations. I became caretaker of these 80 acres, previously hay, beef cattle grazing, woods and wetland, when my in-laws passed away.
I want to leave the land better than I found it, so am seeking a like minded person/persons with commitment, but no land base of their own to caretake this land and grow your dream.
I want to help new farmers get started and gain experience without having the land investment. Prefer organic farming methods used.

- County: Bradford
The goal of this farm is to become an educational center, to learn and share ecologically balanced practices that promote sustainable agricultural and conservation of natural resources. This is an opportunity for beginning farmers to explore, practice, and create their own self supporting, diversified enterprises. Two barns, a mix of hayfield, pasture, pond, and mountain top woods opens the land to many possibilities. The right farmer/s will be able to expand their own dream on this shared land which will be secured for future generations through a land trust with a supporting non-profit board.
Farming Method: Permaculture

The property is 30 acres with approximately 8 of the acres being tillable land.
There is a barn and grazing area and 4 additional tree lined pasture areas. The rest of the land is wooded.
Some of the pastures are more overgrown than others and we would like to see the land used. The land hasn’t been touched by chemicals in over 50 years and current practices must be organic or regenerative.

We own a farm in Gilbertsville, PA with approximately 5 acres of fenced space available for rotational grazing. Fence is 4′ high with electric on the inside. A perfect place to raise small ruminants for meat.
There is also the potential for agroforestry on this parcel of land, ideally a combination of both small ruminants and agroforestry.
We have a retail stand on the property where our farm tenants are able to sell their products.
We have a diversity of products grown on the property (vegetables, fruits, florals, etc.) using organic and regenerative practices and look forward to adding more unique products.
Please reach out if you’re interested in leasing land or if you just want to connect about collaborating.
- Acreage: 1 to 10

I own 10.25 acres that historically was a pasture for cows up until 2008. The land currently is an open field on a hill that is mowed 3 times a year. There is an open field, a wooded area, a large pond in the front and a stream in the woods. The acreage is not currently being farmed.
I built a small house on the lot which I currently live in. My goal is to use the land for any type of farming or agricultural endeavor and develop a farming business partnership with someone who wants to lease the land.
- Acreage: 1 to 4

- County: Washington
My wife’s family ran this farm as a small hobby farm. They took hay off the fields and maintained two horses, a cow, and a flock of ~40 sheep. We sought to care for the property in a similar way, but due to an injury we’re no longer able to achieve the things we’d like to here. We’re hoping to find someone interested in living in the house and utilizing the land.
The farm is 157+/- acres with approximately 25 acres of hay fields that could be suitable for crop production, another 55 acres that is suitable for pasture, and 80 acres of woods. There is an old stone farmhouse on the property that we lived in for the last 4 years, but it certainly needs work. There is electricity and a good well. There is adequate cell phone reception at the house, and we used cell service for internet access at the property, as this is the most reliable option.
It’s a remote and beautiful place.
- Acreage: 31 to 50

This 50 acre property in Perkiomenville, PA was historically run as a pig farm and has been managed under organic or chemical-free practices. It features a stable, four sheds, four wells, and approximately 20 acres of pasture suitable for continued grazing or crop production, plus a small wooded area.
The owner will remain on-site or nearby to help oversee operations but has no specific conservation requirements. The existing infrastructure can be adapted for livestock, vegetable cropping, or a mix of both, and these organic-friendly conditions could streamline any formal certification process.
