Landowner: 30124

My husband and I own a 160-year-old farmhouse that sits on approximately 5 acres of land in Allegheny County. A local farmer has been maintaining the land for us by rotating crops such as pumpkins, corn, alfalfa, and winter wheat. The land is fairly flat with a small a gently rolling section. The plot of land is easily accessible for farm equipment and to harvest crops. We would like to find a farmer who is interested in large-scale vegetable production or growing crops and/or hay and who would practice sustainable methods of farming. Our community hosts a weekly farmers market that is about 2 miles away with ample parking and restroom. We are grateful to our local farmer, but he is retiring, and we would like to find someone to utilize the beautiful property and support our local economy.
