I have been farming both animals and land since I was a young age. I worked on a chicken farm for 12 years until they could no longer pay me due to finances. I had started farming my grandmother’s land with crops at the age 18 and even after quiting the chicken farm I continued to farm my own families land to the current time. My wife and I have bought all the equipment we currently have and also grew a beef heard from zero to around 40 head over the last several years.

I have experience with chickens, quails, rabbits, mainly but some experience with other animals and gardening. I am looking for a farm not huge like commercial size but not small. Medium size farm, 10 or more acres. We want cows, chickens, quail, rabbits, sheep, goats. We want to raise animals for their eggs, manure, and meat. We also want to start a farm store and grow things like pumpkins, microgreens, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, apples, figs, and so much more. I homeschool my 2 children and would like a big enough house to foster children as well. So I am looking for a farm home with at least 4 bedrooms. But we can always add a home or more room if there is enough room on the acres.
My husband is an electrician, but he wants to eventually quit and farm with me. The most we can really afford is about $250,000. Or we could do owner financing if that is an option. My passion and dream is to farm. I’ve always loved animals, they bring me peace and joy. We are also hoping there would be some sort of forest on the property or room enough to grow some trees.

My name is Rezart, I am a masters student here at Penn State University completing my masters in Supply Chain Management. I am a 6th generation farmer with a passion for regenerative agriculture and meat processing.
My family and I are looking to open a farm to retail meat store operation here in State College after graduation this coming May, 2027. We want to first start by finding a farm with considerable farm land (15+ acres) that is willing to lease so that we can start raising our own livestock before working on opening the meat store.

I currently own and operate Mountain View Acres. I currently lease about 10 acres from my neighbor. Being a pasture based poultry farm I raise broilers chickens seasonally, March to Oct, and have a laying flock of hens that are moved and housed in mobile coops. With being a pasture based farm I have created a niche market that allows me to be direct to consumer and having some wholesale accounts as well.
Last year we stared home delivery services which is important to give convenience to the customer but also allows me to potentially move to different parts of the state without affecting my sales since we have no brick and motar store.
I’m also in the process of finding partner farms to be a one stop shop Food Hub for consumers who like the convenience of home delivery.
My ideal farm would be big enough to have my family live on the farm, decent infrastructure to rehab or remodel and enough land to branch out from just chickens. A small mixed use, highly diverse farm. The kids want to start their own farm ventures as well.

I am a journey farmer. I have worked on two farms in the last three years developing m skills and knowledge. I am interested in finding land where I can begin a small operation to grow vegetables, berries, fruit and raise livestock (Layers, broilers, pigs, rabbits etc.) My goal is to first improve the conditions of land by using permaculture designs, agroforestry integration, and regenerative practices to improve soil, water and biodiversity. I am aiming to produce a succession of annual and perennial crops that can be converted into value=added products and utilize the space so that it can be attractive holistically with the opportunity for stackable enterprises. I am looking to secure approximately 3 to 40 acres to begin this journey with the help of family, friends and close farmer relationships.

With the state of the world right now, farming is the one thing that must be protected the most. I moved to Central PA four years ago to get away from the city. Now I have experience in growing my own food, purchasing butchered meat straight from the farm, and hanging with the Amish as they showed me how to churn butter and bottle raw cow’s milk. Now, with the threat of data centers buying and drying up land, I feel the need to do my part. Finding a farm for sale in my budget takes research and resources. I desire to have land that benefits us while taking care of itself. Growing produce that can act as food and medicine. Utilizing the growing season to help keep the land healthy. Have animals that can contribute to everyday health and food, as well as therapeutic measures. Classes for people who want to learn. Events for people to just come hang out on the farm. Help keep building a society that does not solely rely on consumerism for all their needs.

My wife and I are seeking to relocate to southern Pennsylvania and establish our own diversified farm and forestry operation. I have over 30 years of production experience with vegetables, orchards, vineyards, greenhouse, and pasture management, along with basic small and large livestock care. I have over 25 years of team leadership and development experience coupled with food safety, marketing, and sales in retail, auction, and wholesale settings in rural to urban areas in NJ. We will be utilizing regenerative and organic practices in both field and agroforestry systems and value-added products. I presently work as staff for the NJ Ag. Experiment Station (NJAES) on of Rutgers’ satellite research farms and have gained research protocol experience here. I am also a graduate of Farm Credit East’s Generation Next program (circa 2014). Our business model also includes public engagement aspects beyond sales, such as mentoring opportunities, farm system tours and demonstrations, and legislative engagement. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in Agriculture and Food Systems with Minors in Plant Science (biology) and Environmental and Business Economics. I am also an active executive Board member on our local Cumberland County Board of Agriculture (NJ’s county Farm Bureau designation).
