I am interested in purchasing 50-100 acres for my own corn crop operation. I retired from the insurance industry in Florida in May 2021. Prior to that and for the last 40 years, our family owned/operated 2 different farms in our area.
The first was 40 acres with manicured pastures and we ran about 10-15 head of Charolais cattle.
The second location consisted of 160 acres with a 50/50 split of manicured pastures and hard woods. We ran about 25 head of mixed Herefords, Charolais and a Brangus bull that we rotated between the 2 properties.
