I am a 34-year-old man who is looking to begin pursuing vegetable production as a means of income. Providing quality organic produce to those who need it most has been a long-term goal of mine for many years, and I feel I am ready to begin my farming journey! I have over 10 years of experience in the garden and have produced many quality veggies from beans and carrots to tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. I spent 5 years in my early 20s after graduation from college working at the Whole Foods Cooperative in Erie, PA as a means of immersing myself in the world of organics. Following my time there I have spent the last 4 years developing myself as a cultivator by working as a grower at Potratz greenhouses. I want to heal people through food, and by combining my passion for growing with vegetable production, I feel I can create the purposeful expression of my talents that I’ve been working towards all these years. I have been in contact with the produce manager at the Erie Food Coop, as well as representation from the Sisters of Saint Josephs farmers market as a means of getting production to market, but I am in need of a site to grow on.
