We are a young family of 5, living in the city since we were married almost 9 years ago. We have always hoped to move to the he country and run a farmstead.
The first 8 years we served in ministry in downtown Butler. Three years ago we bought a house with an empty lot next door and began growing and selling cut flowers, growing our own produce, and added three ducks to our homestead. Last year we decided to step away from full time ministry to begin pursuing our dream of farm-steading.
My husband currently works building and installing playgrounds and does woodworking on the side. I homeschool our three young sons and care for our home.
We are hoping to grow our family and farmstead on at least 40 acres. We would like to have pasture to raise more ducks, chickens, and goats. We would need space to grow our cut flower crops and produce. We would love to have a water source and areas of woods as well.
Aside from running our farmstead, we want to use our property to share God’s creation with others and host church families.
We are a married couple with young kids looking for an opportunity to start farming. My grandparents were dairy farmers in Chester County and my cousins currently are dairy farmers in Montgomery County.
I currently work in the Conservation/Agricultural field in the Southeast/South Central part of the state. We don’t have much experience, several years working on several dairies and experience with processing/jugging milk, but I have always wanted to be a farmer and have a true passion for farming and agriculture.
Looking for a farming opportunity in which to gain experience, build equity, and the chance to raise our kids around a farm.
Housing on the farm would be preferred.
Young couple with many years of farm experience looking for an opportunity to farm and build equity to eventually buy out farm. Both currently working off farm. Ideally an opportunity for the wife to stay home with family and care for farm animals possibly chickens and or other livestock/dairy animals. Husband would like to continue to work full time off the farm and farm on the side to build capital and equity. Eventually would love to farm full time if situation allows and income warrants.
Experience in all aspects of farm operation and anxious to start road to their own business and work towards the next generation being a part of it.
We currently operate a beef, crop and hay farm as well as manage a large horse farm and offer custom operator services.
We are always interested in local properties to grow our business. We began our business approximately 14 years ago. We have an 80 acre farm in Chester County and continue to grow by leasing and working with area landowners.
We are experienced, respectful and fair. We appreciate our landowners and honor a good working relationship.
