Entering Farmer #20393

I have 12+ years of experience growing native plants and marketing them as food and medicine for humans, livestock, pets, and wildlife. I work as a consultant designing and installing regenerative ecosystems for landscaping, silvopasture, organic permaculture, aquaponics, and retail/restoration nursery stock. My mission in life is to create new models for symbiotic relationships that make the environment and humans more healthy. I am open to leasing land but my ideal situation is lease-to-own or to join an established, complementary operation looking to expand and diversify their vision.

My complete bio can be found here: https://www.revivingwisdom.com/about

Phase 1: I am looking for space to expand my organic native plant nursery operation. This can be done in a relatively small space but I am hoping for larger fields to grow local ecotype seed and live-stake stock. I will host educational workshops on-site as well.
Phase 2: I would like space to establish native plant demo gardens to inspire customers. I will also grow bulk medicinal herbs for the community.
Phase 3: I am interested in diversifying the operation with rows of native food forests to fold into packaged + preserved beverages, jams, etc.
Phase 4: Native food/medicine rows could be used for silvopasture operations in the future (dairy, wool, grass-fed meat, etc.), giving pasture-lands a break for regeneration.
Phase 5: As the team and operation expands, I am interested in many other models for sustainable, regenerative land use at the intersection of human + ecosystem value.

I am also open to taking on an existing operation (regenerative livestock, orchard, etc.) alongside my nursery business.

I am 22 years old and have 3 years of regenerative farming experience. I have worked on a farm on Lopez Island, Washington where I learned about rotational grazing of cattle, market gardening, and commercial compost production. Next, I worked on a farm in Havre de Grace, Maryland where I grew veggies and berries in a 2 acre market garden, rotationally grazed cattle, sheep, and chickens, raised pigs in the woods, and even had my own personal dairy cow and taught myself how to make cheese. Finally, I worked on a market garden in Sellersville, Pennsylvania where I learned a bit more about the business side of operating a farm.
I would love to have my own farm one day to grow veggies in a market garden style, graze livestock in a rotational system (cattle, chickens, pigs, sheep), and would also like to have some dairy cows (would be interested in starting a small creamery). I am looking for a piece of property where I could make my farming dreams a reality and live on the property, too. It would be nice to take over a farm that someone is no longer interested in farming and eventually buy in from them. Since I am young and have been farming, I do not have the capital to buy a piece of land outright.

My wife and I are beginning farmers primarily looking to learn! My wife has experience with cultivating land, raising animals, and growing crops (much more than I do). We are eventually looking to purchase land in order to grow and sell crops.

I grew up on a small family dairy farm and have loved agriculture all my life. I’m 32 now, married with four children and am looking for an opportunity to lease a farm to do grassfed dairy.

My wife and myself have been involved in agriculture our entire lives. We have both grown up and worked on various types of farms throughout the years. While I focused on row crops, she focused on raising animals, and when we got together it all seemed to mesh very well. We both attended Penn State University to further expand our education in agriculture.

We currently farm around 100 acres of rented crop land using primarily 100% no till methods. The main cash crops we raise are soybeans and winter wheat, and we have also done some experimentation growing fall decorations such as sunflowers, pumpkins, and Indian corn. When the cash crops are not growing, we plant cover crops (rye, oats, clover, radishes) in the off season to keep our soil covered. We firmly believe in cover cropping to protect and enhance soil and water quality. By using sustainable practices and treating every acre of land as if it were our own has led us to prosper and be profitable.

We are currently looking for more crop land, grazing land, and facilities to lease to expand our farming operation. It has always been our goal to live and work on a family farm. We hope to work with you and come up with a farm plan/agreement that is mutually beneficial.

I am a 1st generation farmer from the Lehigh Valley. I currently manage a farm in Bucks County where we have over 10 acres in production. I have experience with organic practice farming, vegetable row crop production, greenhouse production, extended season/high tunnel production, cut flower production, perennial production, wine grape production, orchard fruit, and beekeeping. I have experience managing a 100 member CSA, farm store, wholesale program, and a farmers market. I have experience with farm machinery, irrigation systems and IPM. Id like to add benefit to the local community where I’d be farming in by providing access to fresh, healthy produce/fruit/products/flowers/honey. I am seeking a farm to continue my passion for farming. Id like to raise a family run a farm to continue to pursue my career in agriculture and support my family. An ideal situation would be a farmer looking to transition their property to the next generation (me), bonus if tractor and /or other equipment, etc was also available with the purchase. I am looking for a piece of land, ideally at least 5 acres, with a home available, with options to either sign a long term lease, to lease to own, or purchase.

I am 35 years old and a 5th generation farmer in search for a 1st generation farm for my wife and 4 children. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I am a U.S. Army OEF veteran. The farm that I grew up on was in Tilden Township Berks County. We raised feeder pigs, chickens and a cow/calf operation. We grew cattle hay and horse hay along with cash crops such as corn and soybeans. I’m looking to use more regenerative techniques to work the land to improve soil health and to use organic matter as fertilizer. My goal is to be more organic than the generations before me and to give my children the life I had growing up on a farm.

Looking to build and grow a regenerative farm. We are not experienced in this but are hoping to get started and learn more as we grow.

I was raised on a small farm raising beef, pork, and horses. When my Grandpa passed I moved to warren county where i became involved in dairy. I spend several years working different types of operations, however the stanchion barns and smaller herds were my preferred way to go. The last several years ive mainly been working in the timber industry logging with equpiment and my family’s belgian horses. I am also a farrier on the side.
