I own 10.25 acres that historically was a pasture for cows up until 2008. The land currently is an open field on a hill that is mowed 3 times a year. There is an open field, a wooded area, a large pond in the front and a stream in the woods. The acreage is not currently being farmed. I built a small house on the lot which I currently live in. My goal is to use the land for any type of farming or agricultural endeavor and develop a farming business partnership with someone who wants to lease the land.

We are looking to fill an organic vegetable position. We previously had an individual who farmed our land and developed a CSA with about 35 customers. His CSA customers may still be available. There are about 2 acres that he worked but more are available and there is water on this acreage. A shed is available for storage of equipment, but no housing is available. We are located in Avella PA about 35 miles south of Pittsburgh. We also have an area that we used to house about 250 organic layer chickens that is available. The land is in the Sweet Valley area and easily accessible off a main road. The land slopes downhill to a wood line before a steep decline to a creek. Soil types are WIC and OID.
