Meet The Speakers
Kurtis Eby
Kurtis Eby is an Ag Wealth and Succession Planning Advisor with Bare Wealth Advisors. After growing up in Northern Pennsylvania and working on a dairy farm, he has been in the ag support industry as an ag lender and at an equipment dealership. He currently resides in York County and is committed to seeing farms thrive in the state of Pennsylvania.
He considers it an honor and privilege to come alongside Farmers and their families to support them in stewarding what the good Lord has entrusted to them. We help our clients through the farm/business transition process to leave a legacy that honors family, minimizes taxes, and provides enough for the exiting generation while still being affordable for the next generation.
Sarah Straub
Sarah Straub is an attorney with Hazen Law Group and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Agricultural Law Committee. She has dedicated her practice to serving farmers and agricultural businesses throughout Pennsylvania, focusing the majority of her practice on assisting families in their farm transition planning. Sarah graduated magna cum laude from Penn State Law, and while in law school, enjoyed working as part of the team in the Center for Agricultural and Shale Law. She was raised and continues to reside in Snyder County, Pennsylvania and enjoys spending her time with her family, friends, and two horses.
Katie Catchmark
Katie is the Deputy Director of the Berks County Agency on Aging and brings a wealth
of knowledge to the workshop. She will share local resources and helpful information.
Darlene Livingston
Darlene has served as the Executive Director of PA Farm Link for 16 years. Leading the organization’s farm succession education and facilitation services and developing next level farm succession programming. She oversees continued education programs for ag professionals, online learning academy for farmers, along with many digital and print resources. Most recently Darlene and Joy Kirpatrick, University of Wisconsin co-edited of Cultivating Continuity, Expert Insights for Farm Succession.
Born and raised on a diversified farm, Darlene has a lifetime of farm experience working with three generations in the farm. Her family currently owns and operates Mahoning Creek Farm, a preserved century farm in Indiana County
