I am the founder of a horse sanctuary, and equine counseling services business in search of a new home for both due to unexpectedly being displaced from where we were operating.
Historically, we have offered senior animal rescue, hospice care, and community outreach programs to help people and pets stay together. We previously offered Hippotherapy through Natural Horsemanship. In 2016, our focus shifted to outpatient mental health services.
I am a licensed professional counselor who has been practicing since 2016. The sanctuary is based upon a platform of acceptance, non-judgement, and presence where animals and people heal together.
The outside of the neglected animal often directly represents the inside of the client. They begin to heal together and as the animal heals, the client is able to see themselves in the transformation. These also happen to be attributes necessary for healing in client-centered therapy and how animals live their lives. Through these parallels, I’ve been able to grow the sanctuary (and add counseling services) through various programs in hopes that everyone, people and animals, know that they matter, they mean something, and they are noticed.
Both businesses recently and suddenly lost their home in the spring. The organization, myself, my family, my businesses, and my animals were all displaced. This also meant that we lost our safe space to offer therapy. I’ve seen so many lives changed and been witness to miracles. We are trying to rebuild after the aftermath. My only hope is that I can find a space to do this work again.
I currently have two horses and two pot bellied pigs.
We are a married couple with young kids looking for an opportunity to start farming. My grandparents were dairy farmers in Chester County and my cousins currently are dairy farmers in Montgomery County.
I currently work in the Conservation/Agricultural field in the Southeast/South Central part of the state. We don’t have much experience, several years working on several dairies and experience with processing/jugging milk, but I have always wanted to be a farmer and have a true passion for farming and agriculture.
Looking for a farming opportunity in which to gain experience, build equity, and the chance to raise our kids around a farm.
Housing on the farm would be preferred.
Young couple with many years of farm experience looking for an opportunity to farm and build equity to eventually buy out farm. Both currently working off farm. Ideally an opportunity for the wife to stay home with family and care for farm animals possibly chickens and or other livestock/dairy animals. Husband would like to continue to work full time off the farm and farm on the side to build capital and equity. Eventually would love to farm full time if situation allows and income warrants.
Experience in all aspects of farm operation and anxious to start road to their own business and work towards the next generation being a part of it.
We currently operate a beef, crop and hay farm as well as manage a large horse farm and offer custom operator services.
We are always interested in local properties to grow our business. We began our business approximately 14 years ago. We have an 80 acre farm in Chester County and continue to grow by leasing and working with area landowners.
We are experienced, respectful and fair. We appreciate our landowners and honor a good working relationship.
