I was raised on a small farm raising beef, pork, and horses. When my Grandpa passed I moved to warren county where i became involved in dairy. I spend several years working different types of operations, however the stanchion barns and smaller herds were my preferred way to go. The last several years ive mainly been working in the timber industry logging with equpiment and my family’s belgian horses. I am also a farrier on the side.

I am currently a Livestock Nutrition Consultant for a supplement company, but I have previously worked in roles as a vegetable farmer, field technician, and livestock manager. All of these prior positions were held on organic farms.

I am looking to work into having a beef herd of my own. I would also be interested in operating a dairy, if the situation is right.

I currently have a few beef steers of my own, and help out on a dairy farm on most weekends.

I would likely have to keep my office position while I started the farm, so starting small-ish and local would be ideal. The office is located in Lancaster County, between Harrisburg and Lancaster city.

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Prem Sah and I am writing to inquire about the possibility of leasing or buying farmland that you own.
I am a beginner farmer with not many years of experience in crop/livestock. I am interested in finding a suitable piece of land to continue my farming business and I believe that your property would be a great fit.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with more information about the land, including its size, location, and any other relevant details. I would also be happy to discuss any terms and conditions that you have for leasing or selling the land.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a US army veteran, but I am a lot of other things as well. I am a former Peace Corps volunteer (agriculture in Mali), I am a proud father of two young children, and I am a former 4-H kid. I want to return to the rural life and give my kids the life I had growing up.
Experience
– I grew up in a rural area and worked on a (small) farm doing intensive vegetable farming
– I was trained and successfully ran animal husbandry operations in Africa (goats and rabbits)
– I am business and computer savvy and have been working in the corporate world for 10 years
– I am trained in skilled in basic animal medicine (vaccines, basic medical care, etc). While I would not perform surgery, I do feel comfortable with day-to-day care and standard practice
– My wife is no slouch either, she was a former water sanitation Peace Corps volunteer (how we met), and has been working in the business world doing marketing (online and real world) since 2010.

What I am looking for
– A small plot of land for regenerative agriculture (40-100 acres)
– I intend to primarily focus on small food crop production and dairy production- note, due to the large number of cattle dairy producers in the area, we will focus on goat milk, goat milk soap, and goat cheese products.

I’m looking to start a small self sufficient farm. Provide food for my family and maybe sell some produce/beef on the side, just enough to cover costs. For me it’s about living off the land and providing for my family

I worked for a couple years in the first AWA certified farm in the United States which sparked a love for sustainable agriculture for me. My siblings and I currently grow mushrooms and have a small poultry flock. We are looking to expand operations and need more land to be able to do it.
