No farming exp. Built two hydroponic garden systems. I’m an entrepreneur, looking into starting a farm and agritourism business in a county outside of Philadelphia. I did full-desk recruitment for two years managing 500k/yr in business, bringing in new accounts and filling the job requisitions, then worked at a nonprofit called For Our Future.

My plan is to find land to manage a farm, hedge bad harvests with hydroponic farming centers, and use any extra land to offer spots for Vegan food trucks, flower picking, and a skatepark. I’d like to change the way folks view vegan food and make beef and chicken less of a staple in American consumer’s diets.

Seeking mentorship and land.

I am a hydroponic farmer and I am looking for more land to build or add on to my current gutter connect greenhouse. I grow leafy greens, herbs, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers for Universities and local markets.

We are Ryan and Anya Hanna, a young(ish!) couple and aspiring farmers looking to establish an agroforestry farm in our home of Adams County. We are passionate about regenerative agriculture and agroforestry, and plan to create a perennial polyculture system centered on tree and woody shrub crops. We’ve presented our robust business plan to several local lenders, our local economic development office, and our local land conservancy (we plan to preserve our farm), and are pleased that they have all been very supportive of our vision. We are also currently enrolled in the AgBiz Masters Program with Horizon Farm Credit.

We are targeting around 40 acres in active or fallow row crop, orchard, or pasture (some wooded areas also OK), within Adams County. While we would prefer to purchase, we are also open to a long-term lease of 35 years or more, and are happy to explore other creative arrangements, such as occupancy rights that would allow the current owner to remain in their home for as long as they’d like. We would love to share more details about what we are looking for, along with more information about us and our vision.

As is the case for many aspiring farmers, land access is proving to be our biggest challenge. We are looking forward to partnering with a seller whose vision for the future of their land aligns with our own, and who is interested in helping the next generation of young farmers put down roots. Any support you may be willing to provide will be deeply appreciated. The best way to get in touch with us is at AdamsAgroforestryEnterprises@gmail.com, or at (8 four 5) – 9 eight 7- two 761. Thank you!

I am 22 years old and have 3 years of regenerative farming experience. I have worked on a farm on Lopez Island, Washington where I learned about rotational grazing of cattle, market gardening, and commercial compost production. Next, I worked on a farm in Havre de Grace, Maryland where I grew veggies and berries in a 2 acre market garden, rotationally grazed cattle, sheep, and chickens, raised pigs in the woods, and even had my own personal dairy cow and taught myself how to make cheese. Finally, I worked on a market garden in Sellersville, Pennsylvania where I learned a bit more about the business side of operating a farm.
I would love to have my own farm one day to grow veggies in a market garden style, graze livestock in a rotational system (cattle, chickens, pigs, sheep), and would also like to have some dairy cows (would be interested in starting a small creamery). I am looking for a piece of property where I could make my farming dreams a reality and live on the property, too. It would be nice to take over a farm that someone is no longer interested in farming and eventually buy in from them. Since I am young and have been farming, I do not have the capital to buy a piece of land outright.

We are a non-profit organization focused on environmental education, and we have farmland we are growing into. We are seeking assistance on different strategies to build a non-profit farm successfully.

My wife and I are beginning farmers primarily looking to learn! My wife has experience with cultivating land, raising animals, and growing crops (much more than I do). We are eventually looking to purchase land in order to grow and sell crops.

I am a hard worker who enjoys learning new and old methods of production. I love getting my hands dirty, lived near cow farms and mushroom farms my entire life so no smell adjustment needed. I also have experience with growing plants and limited work with animals(milking cows and getting chicken eggs and feeding them). I am a fast learner and very people oriented, I am also fairly good with marketing and business strategies, I am good at onboarding criticism. my weaknesses: I am stubborn, tend to work to exhaustion and I can be overly caring.

I grew up on a small family dairy farm and have loved agriculture all my life. I’m 32 now, married with four children and am looking for an opportunity to lease a farm to do grassfed dairy.

I’m an urban gardener growing herbs and mushrooms in Philadelphia. My farm will be a place to grow specialty crops for cafes in Philly. Those crops will be herbs for tea, culinary and medicinal mushrooms, and micro greens. My farm will also be an agricultural training center promoting self-sustainability for Philadelphia and New York City residents.

We will promote our training retreats at the cafes where we sell our specialty crops. We will train people in urban gardening techniques such as container gardening, rooftop gardening, how to get the most nutritional benefit from a grow tent, growing mushrooms, turning your yard into a food forest, and building greenhouses.

I am looking for land within a 3-hour radius of Philadelphia. I would like to start with 5-10 acres and grow from there. I am also looking for partners and mentors for this project!

My husband and I have leased a farm in NY for 10 years that is currently being sold off (we didn’t have any notice) so we are looking to relocate our farm. We raise registered belted Galloways, have 50 chickens, and a self service farm store that we have grown tremendously in 4 years. We have built a big following on Facebook with creative marketing- so relocating doesn’t scare us. Looking for tillable and grazing land, a house (can be a fixer upper). We fixed up the current farm we are on and brought it back to life- hard work does not scare us. We don’t have any kids, just a border collie & 6 barn cats.
