We are looking for underutilized farm land to grow hazenuts on plus call home. I have over 40 years expierence working with ornamental plants and turf management. Currently myself and Michelle brooks manage 2 seperate orchards that are fully planted and are looking to expand. We have a full busniss plan in place. I am also one of three founding memebers of a cooperative in which all local farms growing hazelnuts will be able to sell their harvest to. The co=op will then process and distribute several diffrent hazelnut products. The key things needed for a hazelnut orchard is deer fencing and land that is not overly wet.

And in my spare time I worked as a trail guide for a ranch for over 30 years. Everything ended when covid shut me down. I lost my company and my farm. The ranch has since closed as well. I have always been interested in the homestead lifestyle and starting my own horse trailer riding business. I am trying to find a farm owner willing to work with me on purchasing a farm.

Currently, my fiance and I are looking to create a farm in which we can be self sufficient and bring about community joy. We began this journey not knowing much about farming but through researching, volunteering, and planning, we have been able to cultivate ideas that work best for production and cultivation. We both share a deep love for animals and agriculture. On the weekends, we volunteer at our local farm ensuring that we learn the best practices for starting a farm. Some tasks we do include cleaning horse stalls, planting in greenhouses, and operating the small farm petting zoo. We have come to love these tasks so much that they have inspired us to take a leap of faith and begin planning our own farm.

My husband and I are looking to move to a rural area in or outside of the Lehigh valley. We have started gardening at home and have the desire to homestead where we would garden, have some animals (ducks , goats,maybe eventually cattle) ideally we would live a pond to fish or stream and also have wooded land for hunting as well. My wife and I are seeking a long-term opportunity to live and manage a small, diversified farm or homestead, ideally one in transition to new caretakers. I’ve managed and worked on educational and organic farms across New England—most recently at the Good Life Center and Four Seasons Farm in Maine—and have several years of experience with vegetable growing, small livestock care, and farm stewardship. My wife is a teacher, writer, and experienced farm caretaker who has helped raised goats and tend gardens.

We’re drawn to farming as a way of life that blends care for the land with community and creativity, and we’re hoping to find a place where we can grow into long-term stewardship alongside those ready to pass their work on.
