I began my farm journey three years ago with Cornell Small Farms then joining PASA in Pennsylvania. I have worked on three farms since and I am currently at that phase where my confidence as peaked and I am ready to pursue stage one of my farming goals. Stage one is the entry point where I start out small (poultry and vegetables) then eventually grading up to full-scale farming that will eventually become an Agritourism venture. The focus on my farm goals is to create an Agritourism venture that comprises of many facets of the farming industry at a community level where teaching, learning, and applying great agriculture practices together with permaculture and holistic management. I am seeking 5-25 acres of land access in the beginning through farmer-to-farmer agreements, working alongside experience farmers or any collaboration that would involve an entry point.

I’ve been working in greenhouse production for about 1.5 years. Part of the experience was in commercial production and part in production for a botanical garden. Personally, I have been growing my green thumb at home and have harvested veggies and maintain native and perineal plants. I’m hoping to acquire land to expand my passions and be able to host/offer community space for the exchange of education and knowledge of land stewardship among underserved communities. I see the rapid industrialization of the available farm land and the harm caused to our environments, and how important it is preserve it and educate the next generation of farmers.

Some knowledge with soil science, plant nutrition, pesticide application, organic growing practices such as KNF, soil/microbe/nutrient relationships etc. I’m just a young father with a dream to run a farm with his family. My wife and I never fit in with the typical 9-5 crowd and we’ve always wanted to start a farm but with society the way it is and having 2 children, it makes it hard to achieve those goals financially.

My long-term vision includes not limited to operating a diversified farm with fruit crops, mushrooms, herbs, aquaculture (trout and walleye), honey, worms, and integrated poultry systems. I am particularly interested in regenerative and syntropic agriculture, Korean natural farming, and permaculture approaches that minimize input costs while building soil health and supporting sustainable land stewardship.

I’m an Air Force vet who once owned a small farm in Wilton, CA. My experience is with sheep, goats, cattle, horses and chickens, but I would like to look into other things like growing wheat for milling locally. I’m interested in sustainable farming through regenerative agriculture, rotating crops, and biodiversity to improve soil health and support of native species. I have been overseas for years and returning now in hopes of living my life out on a farm, being productive and establishing myself in a rural community.
