I am a beginning farmer with a background in baking, homesteading, and small-scale agricultural projects, now working toward establishing a regenerative, veteran-led farm. My long-term goal is to build a mixed-use operation that integrates crop production, rotational livestock, and community-focused food production, beginning with several foundational acres. I am currently developing a full business plan and marketing strategy centered on sustainable practices, soil health, and value-added foods. I am seeking land where I can grow vegetables, grains, and fodder crops while building the skills and infrastructure necessary to expand into a full diversified farm. As a disabled Navy veteran, I am also working toward creating a place that supports other veterans through meaningful agricultural work. I am motivated, committed, and ready to invest in a long-term farming future.

I’m about burned out on working in corporate america and living the suburban lifestyle. I’m interested in being self sufficient as much as possible as well as hardening myself and my family against enviromental and political changes. I don’t have much experience with farming itself, but I understand processes and infrastructure. I am also willing to learn whatever I need to in order to make the above goals happen.
I’m looking to own about 100 acres of land. Ideally this would have a mix of open fields/clearings and woods. My intent would be to use it as a wildlife preserve, and sustainable hunting tracts, horse back riding trails. I see the primary income to be boarding and caring for horses. I would also be interested in farming organic heirloom varieties of crops in a way that is sustainable. I’m open to raising cattle or doing other livestock work that fits into my goals so long as the work is sustainable and humane.

I am someone who has found myself feeling very passionate about land conservation and farming for my family. I don’t have a lot of experience, just a backyard garden that I’m managing to keep alive in the Sonoran Desert. (That has to count for at least a point or two.)
My best friend and I are dreaming of a life where we can both live on the same property and grow foods for ourselves, our extended family, and maybe even a farm stand. This would ideally be located in Pennsylvania, so that I can return to my home state and be around family. I want fruit trees and berry bushes, chickens and goats, a very large veggie garden and plenty of flower gardens as well. I intend fully to create habitats of native plants, flowers, and trees for animals and bugs native to the area.
I just don’t know where to start or how to acquire land without putting myself in debt.

I worked for Hillandale Farms as a Chicken maintenance. I am an aspiring Christian farmer dedicated to building a faith-based, sustainable free-range chicken farm in Pennsylvania. My goal is to raise healthy, naturally fed poultry in a way that honors God’s creation and provides honest, high-quality food for local families. I value transparency, stewardship of the land, and ethical farming practices rooted in Christian principles. I’m seeking opportunities to connect with landowners, mentors, or partners who share the same vision of faith-driven, regenerative agriculture.
