I am currently a Livestock Nutrition Consultant for a supplement company, but I have previously worked in roles as a vegetable farmer, field technician, and livestock manager. All of these prior positions were held on organic farms.

I am looking to work into having a beef herd of my own. I would also be interested in operating a dairy, if the situation is right.

I currently have a few beef steers of my own, and help out on a dairy farm on most weekends.

I would likely have to keep my office position while I started the farm, so starting small-ish and local would be ideal. The office is located in Lancaster County, between Harrisburg and Lancaster city.

I’ve been working in seed research and am currently a technical agronomist for a seed company. We sell corn and soybean seed. In seed research I learned more about caring for the land through caring for the crops.

I am looking for land in PA to pursue my interest in farming in my home state. I have 4 years of farming experience, the majority of which has been in Middle TN. I have managed cattle, sheep, pigs, diversified vegetables, field crops, and an agroforestry system.
