I am a 27 year old hope to be first in many generations farmer. Myself and those I live with operate a nonprofit music festival. I tend garden every summer on our current two acres with chickens. I have done farm work trade in the past and my DREAM is to find a property to grow enough crops and flowers for the farmers markets and a few restaurants at least, and be able to create a space where those looking to learn can come.

We currently have1 high tunnel/greenhouse and are expanding to add at least 2 more. We raise meat chickens, laying chickens and swine. We harvest a multi-fruit orchard and several varieties of berries, as well. We live in a very recessed area, in fact, a food desert, and would like to work on filling that gap. I have over 30 years’ experience in crop growing on a small level and look forward to expanding and educating on a bigger platform.

I am looking for a farm to grow organic vegetables, and to keep cows and chickens.
I have some experience with a small kitchen garden and storing the food for the winter months.
I would like land to continue growing vegetables and also knowledge on how to run a farm with animals for the winter season.

Grew up in my grandmothers garden that she always tended as my grandfather was a steel worker and layoffs were always unexpected. She always made sure that there was food available for any unexpected turn in life. I have some experience in my own garden but would love to expand that in a larger way for crop productions and possibly some animals in the future. Would also love to be able to expand in the future to a community space for people in the area to come learn about growing your own food and be able to exchange some casual labor for food!
I also have some experience in trail management for a natural preserve and maintaining native flora while combating invasive species. My mother is an herbalist and forager and it would be amazing to grow herbs that she could use for community medicine as well

Hello my name is Hannah May! My husband Blake and I have been looking for a farm for a year or two now. But with being so young and wanting to get into farming it’s super hard. We have a 10 month son that we want to be able to raise on a farm. I grew up on a fifty acre farm in PA so I understand the value of living on a farm! My husband has been around agriculture his whole life as well! I raised and showed pigs, goats, sheep steer, and chicken. We had 60,000 which we raised for Purdue!
We would love the opportunity to be able to partner with a farmer.

I have had flocks of quails and have not had true farming experience. I am seeking a smaller space or someone who would be willing to teach. I grew up in the city and have experience in corporate and hospitality.

I was disabled as civilian combat support with the State Department in Iraq after 5 consecutive tours. I’m expecting to be setteling a decade long workers comp claim this next year and want to purchase PA farmland and begin a small farm with horses and small livestock. I was born and raised in PA, served as a Philadelphia City Solicitor and attended Penn State Law.
I am a beginner farmer with little experience but the desire and perseverance to realize a lifetime dream. I love animals and my 15 yr old son is ready to assist me on the farm, so this is for his future as well. I would ideally prefer between 20 to 40 acres of land, but I’m very flexible. I should have around $1M from my settlement to dedicate toward the purchase of a a farm and/or land.

My name is Nash Lawrence, and I’m the owner of Pittsburgh Pastures, a pasture-based poultry and livestock farm in Mars, Pennsylvania. After gaining experience on farms across the country, I returned home in 2023 to start Pittsburgh Pastures with a focus on raising non-GMO, pasture-raised chickens and eggs through regenerative and humane farming practices. We’re currently looking to expand to 1,000 laying hens and 7,500+ meat birds in the coming season. My goal is to find a property within an hour of Pittsburgh that includes housing, allowing me to live on the same land where I care for my animals and continue growing the farm sustainably.
