Farmer Information:

I am currently active-duty military (17 Years) serving in the United States Coast Guard. I am a few years from retirement and my family & I plan to move back to our home state in Pennsylvania. My wife and I grew up in the Poconos Area and post-retirement we would like to move back and start a family farm together.

We are currently in the early stages planning what type of farming we want to do, but highly interested in Agritourism (Christmas trees, orchards, etc.). I grew up on a local horse farm learning to appreciate the land and the value of working on it! I hope to give that same sense of pride to my family as we set out towards the next adventure of hopefully owning a farm in Pennsylvania! I would like to take away how to best formulate a business and marketing plan, as well as learn from other farmers in the area as I look for the best location.

We are a married couple with young kids looking for an opportunity to start farming. My grandparents were dairy farmers in Chester County and my cousins currently are dairy farmers in Montgomery County.

I currently work in the Conservation/Agricultural field in the Southeast/South Central part of the state. We don’t have much experience, several years working on several dairies and experience with processing/jugging milk, but I have always wanted to be a farmer and have a true passion for farming and agriculture.

Young couple with many years of farm experience looking for an opportunity to farm and build equity to eventually buy out farm. Both currently working off farm. Ideally an opportunity for the wife to stay home with family and care for farm animals possibly chickens and or other livestock/dairy animals. We currently operate a beef, crop and hay farm as well as manage a large horse farm and offer custom operator services.

We are always interested in local properties to grow our business. We began our business approximately 14 years ago. We have an 80 acre farm in Chester County and continue to grow by leasing and working with area landowners.
