- Marketing Plan
- Crop Production
I fled the NYC area craving space and peace and have been managing a 43 acre homestead in WV for four and a half years. The rural/agricultural life is definitely for me. I do have my own herds but if I needed to rehome my sheep and goats for farm succession I would.
My goals for farming are to provide clean healthy food for the community as well as partake in rotational grazing to regenerate the land. Crop cycling would also help the soil. I do have my own business and marketing plans for what I would do on a large farm, but I am also open to simply taking over something established even if it is very different than what I currently do. Growing food for myself and my animals bring me satisfaction and joy.
I also already run a successful high-quality hobby dog breeding program and could bring that prosperity to the property as well. I specialize in working line German Shepherds imported from Europe.
I love having the sun on my back and my hands in the dirt. I also love growing crops. The more things I can rely on myself for the better. I am an avid gardener, growing up with a grandmother who was a Master Gardener with a degree in botany (among other sciences). I am fast to learn and very connected to the animals and the earth. I would manage whichever farm lands with me with absolute reverence. This is a sacred and important job. No farms no food!
I have two small homestead herds. 7 goats (dairy) and 15 sheep (meat). As mentioned above they don’t have to be a part of the new operation though I would love to take them with me.
We are a family with young children looking for an opportunity to begin farming. We did not grow up on a family farm; however, my grandparents were dairy farmers which sparked a passion for farming and agriculture.
We currently raise a handful of small breed sheep, and I work in the Conservation/Agricultural consulting field in the Southeast/Southcentral part of the state. We have some farm experience working on several dairies and experience with processing/jugging milk.
Looking for a farm opportunity in which to gain experience, build equity, and the chance to raise our kids around a farm. Housing on the farm would be preferred.
Young couple with many years of farm experience looking for an opportunity to farm and build equity to eventually buy out farm. Both currently working off farm. Ideally an opportunity for the wife to stay home with family and care for farm animals possibly chickens and or other livestock/dairy animals. Husband would like to continue to work full time off the farm and farm on the side to build capital and equity. Eventually would love to farm full time if situation allows and income warrants.
Experience in all aspects of farm operation and anxious to start road to their own business and work towards the next generation being a part of it.
We currently operate a beef, crop and hay farm as well as manage a large horse farm and offer custom operator services.
We are always interested in local properties to grow our business. We began our business approximately 14 years ago. We have an 80 acre farm in Chester County and continue to grow by leasing and working with area landowners.
We are experienced, respectful and fair. We appreciate our landowners and honor a good working relationship.
