I am a beginning farmer with hands-on experience in specialty crop production, gardening, orchard and berry care, hydroponics/aquaponics, and agricultural education.
At home, I currently grow blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, asparagus and other fruits and vegetables, and I have been developing experience with fruit trees, propagation, soil management and sustainable growing practices. Professionally, I am a special education and transition teacher and have developed school-based agriculture projects involving microgreens, herbs, lettuce, hydroponics, aquaponics, orchards and produce sales. I have also received the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture & Youth Grant to expand our aquaponics and agricultural career-training program.
I am now looking for property to establish a small, diversified family farm in western Pennsylvania. Ideally, I am seeking approximately 10–30+ acres with a home or the ability to accommodate a multigenerational family, usable agricultural land, and preferably barns or other outbuildings. My long-term plan includes blueberries and raspberries, an orchard, specialty crops, herbs and microgreens, beekeeping, and potentially additional livestock and agritourism/educational activities.
I am especially interested in a property where I can gradually expand production and develop the farm into a financially sustainable agricultural business.
We are a family with young children looking for an opportunity to begin farming. We did not grow up on a family farm; however, my grandparents were dairy farmers which sparked a passion for farming and agriculture.
We currently raise a handful of small breed sheep, and I work in the Conservation/Agricultural consulting field in the Southeast/Southcentral part of the state. We have some farm experience working on several dairies and experience with processing/jugging milk.
Looking for a farm opportunity in which to gain experience, build equity, and the chance to raise our kids around a farm. Housing on the farm would be preferred.
Young couple with many years of farm experience looking for an opportunity to farm and build equity to eventually buy out farm. Both currently working off farm. Ideally an opportunity for the wife to stay home with family and care for farm animals possibly chickens and or other livestock/dairy animals. Husband would like to continue to work full time off the farm and farm on the side to build capital and equity. Eventually would love to farm full time if situation allows and income warrants.
Experience in all aspects of farm operation and anxious to start road to their own business and work towards the next generation being a part of it.
We currently operate a beef, crop and hay farm as well as manage a large horse farm and offer custom operator services.
We are always interested in local properties to grow our business. We began our business approximately 14 years ago. We have an 80 acre farm in Chester County and continue to grow by leasing and working with area landowners.
We are experienced, respectful and fair. We appreciate our landowners and honor a good working relationship.
