Owning a farm has always been a dream of mine. I’m not looking for a piece of property simply because of its value—I’m looking for a place I can work, care for, and eventually pass down to the next generation. I want to wake up every morning knowing that the land I’m standing on has a purpose and that the hard work I put into it is building something that will last for many years.
If there is an older farmer who has spent his life working the land and is looking for someone to carry on what he started, I would be honored to be considered. I would treat the farm with respect and take pride in maintaining the fields, buildings, equipment, animals, and everything else that makes the property special. I wouldn’t look at it as simply receiving a free farm—I would look at it as being trusted with someone’s life’s work.
I understand that giving away a farm is an enormous decision. My promise would be to work for it every day and to preserve what was built before me. I would want the farmer to know that his land would not simply be sold off or forgotten. His history and the work he put into that farm would become part of my family’s future.
If there is an older farmer out there who doesn’t have someone to take over the farm, I hope they might consider giving a hardworking person like me the opportunity to carry their legacy forward. I don’t expect anything without responsibility. I would be willing to learn, work, maintain the property, and honor whatever reasonable conditions were important to the farmer. My dream isn’t just to own land—it’s to build a home, a working farm, and a future on it. I have enjoyed my family’s farm for years but due circumstances beyond my control, I was forced to sell more than 90% of it. I have been around farming, animals, hay production, corn production, and other plantings in my life an I’m looking to leave a legacy.
I have a masters in agriculture 4 years complete
We are a family with young children looking for an opportunity to begin farming. We did not grow up on a family farm; however, my grandparents were dairy farmers which sparked a passion for farming and agriculture.
We currently raise a handful of small breed sheep, and I work in the Conservation/Agricultural consulting field in the Southeast/Southcentral part of the state. We have some farm experience working on several dairies and experience with processing/jugging milk.
Looking for a farm opportunity in which to gain experience, build equity, and the chance to raise our kids around a farm. Housing on the farm would be preferred.
Young couple with many years of farm experience looking for an opportunity to farm and build equity to eventually buy out farm. Both currently working off farm. Ideally an opportunity for the wife to stay home with family and care for farm animals possibly chickens and or other livestock/dairy animals. Husband would like to continue to work full time off the farm and farm on the side to build capital and equity. Eventually would love to farm full time if situation allows and income warrants.
Experience in all aspects of farm operation and anxious to start road to their own business and work towards the next generation being a part of it.
We currently operate a beef, crop and hay farm as well as manage a large horse farm and offer custom operator services.
We are always interested in local properties to grow our business. We began our business approximately 14 years ago. We have an 80 acre farm in Chester County and continue to grow by leasing and working with area landowners.
We are experienced, respectful and fair. We appreciate our landowners and honor a good working relationship.
