My wife and I are starting from scratch. We own a small 3-acre property with a pasture that we started raising a couple beef cows on about 5 years ago. Since then, we have grown and now we have committed to starting a herd of our own, along with breeding and raising custom butcher hogs, and pasture raised layer and broiler chickens.
We are also interested in the possibility of starting a micro dairy, where the milk is processed and sold off the farm. Our passion is for chemical-free regenerative methods and selling our products directly within our community. We hope to one day have a farm store that will sell all of our in-house products as well as partnerships with other likeminded producers in the area to offer the local products we do not produce.
Current Herd Description:
Small herd of Red Devon beef cattle. We are breeding cows with purebred bulls to grow the herd.

We are a family with young children looking for an opportunity to begin farming. We did not grow up on a family farm; however, my grandparents were dairy farmers which sparked a passion for farming and agriculture.
We currently raise a handful of small breed sheep, and I work in the Conservation/Agricultural consulting field in the Southeast/Southcentral part of the state. We have some farm experience working on several dairies and experience with processing/jugging milk.
