- Formulated Business Plan
- Crop Production
I hope to start a small, self-sustaining family farm to become more self-sufficient and turn my hobby of making value-added products from my grown produce into a full-time business.
I’ve been growing fruits and vegetables in small gardens around Washington, DC for the last 5 years and making hot sauce, jams, bitters, syrups, teas, etc. from the produce for friends and family.
My future business will be value-added, specialty consumable products made from over 50% of grown goods. Additional crops will be produced for subsistence farming. I also plan to use the land for deer and small game hunting. Existing conservation or the opportunity to set up conservation would be a major plus.
I also aim to make this property my family’s forever-home and enable multi-generational living by building or expanding at least one significant home and possibly several ADUs.
We are a family with young children looking for an opportunity to begin farming. We did not grow up on a family farm; however, my grandparents were dairy farmers which sparked a passion for farming and agriculture.
We currently raise a handful of small breed sheep, and I work in the Conservation/Agricultural consulting field in the Southeast/Southcentral part of the state. We have some farm experience working on several dairies and experience with processing/jugging milk.
Looking for a farm opportunity in which to gain experience, build equity, and the chance to raise our kids around a farm. Housing on the farm would be preferred.
Young couple with many years of farm experience looking for an opportunity to farm and build equity to eventually buy out farm. Both currently working off farm. Ideally an opportunity for the wife to stay home with family and care for farm animals possibly chickens and or other livestock/dairy animals. Husband would like to continue to work full time off the farm and farm on the side to build capital and equity. Eventually would love to farm full time if situation allows and income warrants.
Experience in all aspects of farm operation and anxious to start road to their own business and work towards the next generation being a part of it.
We currently operate a beef, crop and hay farm as well as manage a large horse farm and offer custom operator services.
We are always interested in local properties to grow our business. We began our business approximately 14 years ago. We have an 80 acre farm in Chester County and continue to grow by leasing and working with area landowners.
We are experienced, respectful and fair. We appreciate our landowners and honor a good working relationship.
