Farmer Information:
I am preparing to transition into farming in Adams County, Pennsylvania, with the goal of developing a diversified small farm that can grow gradually into a sustainable family business.
I am interested in developing a diversified farm that combines crop production with livestock, including poultry, pigs, goats, sheep, and alpacas. In addition to food production and direct-to-consumer sales, I am particularly interested in fiber production through alpaca fiber and sheep wool, with the potential to develop value-added products over time.
My background is primarily in information technology, project management, business operations, and small-business ownership, so while I am relatively new to commercial agriculture, I bring considerable experience with planning, budgeting, problem solving, systems management, and running projects from concept through implementation.
Long term, I would also like to incorporate technology, automation, recordkeeping, and other modern tools into the farm and use what I learn to help other small farmers improve their operations. I am currently looking for the right property, agricultural experience, education, and connections that will allow me to move from planning into hands-on production and build the farm responsibly over time
Agricultural Degrees / Certifications:
I have not completed a formal agricultural degree or college-level agriculture program. I am continuing to build my agricultural knowledge through practical experience, independent study, farm planning, and research into diversified crop and livestock production.

We are a family with young children looking for an opportunity to begin farming. We did not grow up on a family farm; however, my grandparents were dairy farmers which sparked a passion for farming and agriculture.
We currently raise a handful of small breed sheep, and I work in the Conservation/Agricultural consulting field in the Southeast/Southcentral part of the state. We have some farm experience working on several dairies and experience with processing/jugging milk.

We are always interested in local properties to grow our business. We began our business approximately 14 years ago. We have an 80 acre farm in Chester County and continue to grow by leasing and working with area landowners.
