Rutgers turf grad. Working grounds most my life. cat 7 pesticide licenses. I garden and have a small orchard. I make syrup every year. I don’t really have any money for a lease and I’m not really a good businessman but Im blessed with the ability and knowledge to grow. I’ve been golf course superintendent at berkleigh cc in kutztown before moving home and taking a job as assistant at glen oak. I left golf for 13 years and worked for my buddy’s small fence company which is now the largest on east coast. I was there for 8 or 9 years then took a job with Swn on there production team as field operator. I pumped wells in Bradford and lycoming for 4 years. After leaving Swn I got back into golf and took the superintendent job four seasons. Most recently I was the superintendent at Greystone for there first two years. Currently I’m doing some small landscaping jobs for friends and neighbors. Honestly I had no idea about this website I was looking on my phone for farmland to lease near me. I’m just looking for an opportunity. Something close to the river would be nice for farming. I’m really good at making something outa nothing and enjoy doing things the old ways. I live in northeastern Luzerne county. Cell (570) 954-3526. Email flintlock85@icloud.com

I am an avid food gardener of 8 years experience who’s passion has outgrown the space currently available to me. I am looking to enter the commercial food production business but am severely limited in my capacity for production. Living in conjoined housing has forced me to negotiate the use of several of the yards of my neighbors. While this approach has proven useful for research and small scale production it poses several logistical challenges which could be mitigated through the use of a larger centralized plot of land. I am in search of a plot up to 10 acres preferably organic but not necessarily certified. My method of farming includes 100% organic fertilization and IPM .

I want to own a farm to carry on to my own generations or to someone that wants to continue the legacy of farming. Iam very passionate about Ag and farming. I just need that helping hand up in finding a farm. (I would of course find ways to” pay it forward “). This farmgirl isn’t afraid to work hard and get her hands dirty. Proposal for Use of Land:
We are going on our third year as market farmers participating in our county’s local farmer’s
markets. We intend to spend the rest of our professional careers operating a market garden /
small farm in order to provide quality products to the consumer that are responsibly produced.
We would like to find land to facilitate this. As we have no mechanical equipment at this time, we can only care for small acreage.
We would prefer a land opportunity with housing. We are open to lease or trade.
Allowing the opportunity for consumers to
buy directly from the farm on which it is grown is high priority. In the future we envision
sharing our passion of working with the earth, especially with youth.
