As a first-generation farmer, I’m looking to turn what I truly believe is my purpose in life into a reality. I have hands-on experience caring for horses and chickens, and I’ve raised chickens and managed the daily responsibilities that come with caring for animals. While I’m still developing my agricultural skills, I’m eager to learn from experienced farmers and gain hands-on knowledge of regenerative agriculture, livestock management, hay production, and growing flowers and vegetables. My dream is to establish a diversified regenerative farm where I can live and work full-time, raise animals, grow seasonal cut flowers and produce, and potentially develop a small dairy and sheep operation. I’m looking for farmland to lease, rent to own, or purchase through owner financing, ideally with a home on the property and the ability to keep livestock. Nothing makes me feel more fulfilled than being in the dirt, working the land, and building a life centered around animals and agriculture. I know the journey of becoming a first-generation farmer will come with challenges, but I’m committed to putting in the work, learning along the way, and building something meaningful. It would be an incredible opportunity to learn from established farmers, contribute to the agricultural community, and one day pass that knowledge, education, and opportunities on to the next generation.

I am looking to rent or eventually own a small farm where I can grow vegetables, fruits, grains, and raise a few animals. I grew up on a farm owned by my grandparents, and that experience inspired me to one day have a farm of my own.

I own a 120 acre grass finishing beef farm in south west Pennsylvania. We basically run an organic farm as we do not use pesticides , herbicides or any type of chemical on our grasses or with any of our cattle. My husband, Patrick, and I are looking for an opportunity to establish a multigenerational family farm in Pennsylvania. Our goal is not simply to acquire land, but to build a legacy farm that we can operate, improve, preserve, and eventually pass on to our son, who is currently eight years old. We would love for him to have the opportunity to grow up on a working farm and learn the responsibility, skills, and values that come with caring for the land and producing food.
We are particularly interested in connecting with an established or retiring farmer who may not have a family member who wants to continue farming. We would be very open to learning from an experienced farmer and creating a thoughtful transition or succession arrangement that allows their knowledge, experience, and agricultural legacy to continue into the next generation.
Our agricultural goals include growing clean, nutritious food and raising animals for meat and eggs for our family and, as the farm develops, for other families in our community. We are open to different types of farming and would like the land, existing infrastructure, and experience of the current farmer to help shape what is ultimately possible.
Although our professional backgrounds have primarily been in technology, real estate, construction, and business rather than traditional farming, we bring significant transferable experience. Patrick has a technology background and previously worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Treasury Department. I have approximately 20 years of experience in information technology, document imaging, records management, and systems architecture.
For the past ten years, we have also owned and operated successful real estate and construction businesses. Through those businesses, we have developed extensive hands-on experience in property rehabilitation and maintenance, construction, project management, budgeting, business operations, technology, logistics, managing employees and contractors, problem-solving, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
We are hands-on owners and would expect to be actively involved in the farm’s day-to-day operation. We also understand that a successful agricultural operation may require employees, skilled farm workers, contractors, and experienced advisors, depending upon the size and type of farm.
Most importantly, we are willing to learn. We recognize the tremendous amount of knowledge that experienced farmers accumulate over a lifetime, and we would value the opportunity to learn from a retiring farmer during a transition rather than allowing that knowledge to disappear.
Our long-term goal is to build a financially sustainable working farm that produces quality food, provides opportunities for our family and others, responsibly cares for the land, and remains in agricultural use for generations to come.

Pittsburgh-based urban farmer, grower, and educator with over 5 seasons in annual vegetable and herb production, seed keeping, and food systems work. I grow culturally important crops and seeds, and also have experience with edible landscape and native plants. My practice is rooted in regenerative agriculture and agroecology. I hold ServSafe Manager and PSA Grower certifications. In addition to production, I am interested in hosting workshops, farm events, and hands-on programming on the land. Small-scale livestock (chickens, ducks, and/or goats) is an area I am actively looking to learn and build experience in. I’m looking to steward at least 1 acre of land in Western PA, ideally with housing and existing farm infrastructure: water/utility access, pack and wash, cold storage, and/or high tunnels. Open to mentorship, long-term stewardship, or transition arrangements.
