Landowner Listing 30100

54 acres of farmland, mostly tillable. The soil is a combination of sandstone and limestone geology--stony but for the most part well-drained and not subject to flooding. We have a well for irrigation and underground irrigation main as well as a packing shed, barn, greenhouse, and three high tunnels. The farm is located in a quiet rural area but is right along state route 75 for easy access to urban markets.

The farm has been in operation since 2009 growing and direct-marketing certified organic produce. We currently farm on 12 acres of certified organic ground on a 54 acre farm in beautiful Western Franklin County PA.

Due to health challenges, the two farmers who established the business are no longer able to farm together long-term. We have had the good fortune of being able to purchase a farm property and would like this to be of benefit to a like-minded farmer or team who needs to affordably access land to realize their farming dreams.

Our goal is to find an experienced farmer, couple, or team who wants to lease the land. We will be operating our business in 2019 which includes a farmers market with gross annual sales of over $150,000 and a 250+ member farmshare (CSA program). Our goal is to transition the business to new operators by the end of 2019. Equipment will be available for sale and/or lease. A four acre lot has been subdivided from the farm, is perked, and contains a well and would make a great site for a home for the right tenants. We also own a small house 1 mile from the farm that will be available to rent for operator or employee housing.
