Landowner Listing 30097

Small vegetable operation and a beginning specialty fruits operation focusing on Asian fruits: persimmon, jujube, Sichuan pepper, Asian pears, edible lotus, more.

Potential for agritourism - pumpkin patch, fall fruit festival, permaculture demonstration, corn maze (or bamboo and elephant grass maze) are possibilities.

Brothers need to slow down/retire.  Three farms involved in production.

House - 100+ year old red brick farmhouse, livable but should have some work

Open to various options.

We would like a tenant to work off rent by helping in the produce operation, which varies 5 to 10 acres of produce.  The land around the house is a beginning specialty/minor/Asian fruits orchard which could be side income for the tenant.  There are lots more acres available potentially.  Ideally, we would have a lease and business plan that spelled out a future buy-in by the tenant.

Our produce has been nearly 100% pesticide free for years, but we have not begun the process to become certified organic.

Currently marketing most of our produce wholesale but do have a roadside stand.  It is located in a small village on a vacant (no house) property that has buildings that could easily be used as attractive stores or shops.  We are not far from the Maryland line and Interstate 70...easy reach for the Baltimore/Washington market, just two hours.
