Farm Succession Workshop – Soergel’s Orchard, Wexford, PA (Allegheny County)

PA Farm Link will be hosting a Farm Succession Workshop at Soergel’s Orchard and invite all farm owners and their families for a day of interactive resource sharing from agricultural professionals. Speakers will be discussing the communication barriers to planning and implementing a farm succession plan, discussing the legal side of developing and carrying out a plan, and will review the financial challenges to farm succession planning. If you are working on or planning a farm succession/transition plan, this program will help provide answers and insight of the planning and implementing process.

Registration cost will be $18 per person or $15 per person if two or more farm family members attend. Those involved in the transition plan, including farm owners, and 2nd generation or next generation farmers, are encouraged to attend. Registration includes lunch, a copy of the “Planning the Future of Your Farm” booklet, Pennsylvania Edition (normally sold for $10.60 per copy), and access to agricultural professionals who work with farm families on farm succession/transition plans.

Registration deadline is November 6th.
